At Lydalls we believe that high quality early learning experiences are vital as they lay the foundations for a lifetime’s love of learning. We value Parents as the first and most important educators of their children, and we look forward to developing a close and supportive relationship with you during your child’s time with us.

Welcome from our Chair of Governors

On behalf of the governing body, I am very happy to welcome you to our website which will give you a glimpse of all the wonderful things that take place at Lydalls Nursery School.

Lydalls is a Maintained Nursery School where we work in partnership with you to ensure that each and every child has the opportunity to learn and achieve their potential during these oh-so important early years in your child’s education.

Our governors come from all walks of life and share an interest in and commitment to supporting the school. We work closely with the head teacher to ensure that the governing body fulfils its requirement to support and challenge the school and its leadership.

The role of the school governor is a very rewarding one and is a good way to give back to your local community. We are often looking for new governors to join us. If you are interested in becoming a governor or would like more information about what this involves, do let us know. As Chair of Governors I am always contactable via the school office.
